“I play the piano. I’ve played the piano since I was 11 years old. My grandmother … played, and she had said I would get to learn someday, and then I just asked to start taking lessons. And, part of it was motivation. We lived in Miami, Florida at the time, and it was really hot, and my mom made me take tennis lessons outside, and I never took to those. And then, I begged to take piano lessons instead, because that was inside, in the air conditioning!”

“I’ve always loved acro. That’s been like my side thing. So I’ve gone into the city and helped train clowns in acro because Cirque du Soleil has professional clownism and things like that. And I’ve done acro with football players, including professional football players – Learning how to hold their weight and balance and shape with acro dance/gymnastics kind of thing. But, it’s a love and a hobby. It’s been so much fun. I don’t do it all the time. It’s once in a blue moon, I’ll get the opportunity to [train clowns and athletes].”

“I find scrapbooking is therapeutic for me. So, when I’m really stressed out, I end up pulling out all my scrapbooking stuff … and usually around report card time, I start to scrapbook because it alleviates the stress. Yeah, that’s one of my little secrets. But, it’s also kind of nice, because now I have kind of the history of my kids and my own family. I’ve made them for my mother. I’ve done it, yeah, so everything’s documented.”

“I play guitar. I learned [how to play guitar] towards the end of high school. I took some, like, unofficial classes, and then … the person didn’t really teach me … theory, per se. He just taught me, like, some random chords and how to put them together. But then, later, my friends started kind of teaching me theory, and then [I] kind of started learning theory on my own. I always thought it was interesting. I always thought it’s cool. Just wanted to learn.”
