As the 2025-2026 season kicks off, the Golden State Warriors enter a crucial chapter. Consisting of past stars and young, new athletes, they aim to remain a top team in the Western Conference.
Many members of the NDB community are invested in the success of the Warriors this season, especially a member of the NDB counseling team, Mr. G. When predicting the success of the warriors this season, he states that, “I always over predict and hope that they win the championship, but with a solid team this year and our rookies that are doing really well, I feel like we can make some noise in the playoffs and hopefully get back to championship winning basketball in the playoffs.”
The Warriors are currently 6-5, placing them second in the Pacific Division and 8th in the Western Division. Despite suffering some losses, they still have a shot of making it to the playoffs.
Junior Mika Cary, a current varsity basketball player at Notre Dame, has a lot to say about her hopes for the Warriors this current season: “I’m hoping that the Warriors do really well because they’re my favorite team and they have Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry, who I think is a very good duo now.”
The warriors’ success has always been inspiring to many athletes, as the team has shown determination and perseverance through its many wins.
Sports, especially local teams, teach young people that with hard work, success can be built. Even though their winning streak has ended, they continue to build back up to the top,
The Warriors have a significant legacy, having won four NBA championships since 2004. Through their ups and downs, they have always remained a strong team that overcomes any challenges coming their way.
