One of the courses offered during NDB’s 2025 InterSession was ‘Rec Sports for Life,’ which allowed students the opportunity to play sports that they had not previously encountered. Led by Athletic Coordinator Kate Mahoney and assisted by flag football, basketball and softball coach Aubrie Businger, they participated in the on-campus activities of badminton and pickleball and traveled to Top Golf and Classic Bowling Center. These sports were chosen due to the fact that they are usually considered recreational, meaning the students will likely use the skills they learned throughout the rest of their lives.
