Minnie Evans, Freshman
“I mean as a freshman, I haven’t actually gone to or done an Aquacades before, but getting ready for the one this year has been great so far. I’m really excited to hang out with my friends. We are doing a group swim routine, and I am just super excited to plan it and see how it goes, which is hopefully well. I am definetely a little nervous, of course … The music and everything has been a lot to figure out, but my expectations are … pretty high. [I think] it should be fun … Hopefully it’s nice weather and all that.”

Elizabeth Brodeur, Sophomore
“I think the best part of Aquacades is just getting close with your classmates and practicing your dancing – like perfecting it and just being together. The spirit is so great. Everyone’s watching you dance, and getting dressed up is just so fun. The sisterhood is also great because you see all your fellow classmates and your whole school cheering you on.”

Leila Murugan, Junior
“I’ve done solo swim for the past [two] years, and I would say my favorite part of Aquacades is just getting up there and performing. It’s super fun. I love creating my dance, making my music, and also it’s really fun when everybody’s cheering and screaming and singing. It’s very energetic. So, yeah, I just love going up there and performing, making everyone happy.”

Margaret (Maggie) Blanchard, Senior
“… This is gonna be my third year doing a routine. I did a swim routine sophomore year, which is kind of an adventure, but I think it’s so much fun on the night of when you finally go out there. And, I know the first year I did, I was … scared out of my mind. I was the most scared I’ve ever been in my whole life. And then, it was the time of my life. It was so much fun and everyone’s cheering for you, even if they’re not in your class. Everyone’s screaming your name and along to the music. It’s just a once in a lifetime experience.”
