Students play a key role in campus events with seven boards of student leaders planning everything from mass to dances. Each board plans events year-round, and their mark is undeniably seen on campus. It is important to recognize the accomplishments and future plans for these boards. “[During last month’s interviews, a] … key role of Ambassador Board [was] greeting families when they get here and make sure that they feel … really comfortable, … In the future, we’re … getting ready for the end of the admission year and … to welcome the freshman class,” said Ambassador Board President Alex Davidow.

“[For] CSF this year, the two big things are the Inspirational Post-Its … that were up during finals week and the community service drive. “So, currently, this month, the Coalition is celebrating Black History Month. So, we’re supporting the Black Student Union with their event, which, I believe, is currently scheduled for the 14th. “Right now, we’re planning Foundresses Week for the first week of February. So, we’re planning out all the activities that we’re going to do. Maybe getting a guest speaker and then planning the mass. After that, we’ll probably do something for the month of May,” expressed Co-President of Hallmarks in Action Caroline Zerella

Link Crew has really been focusing on planning events for the freshmen that include sister bonding and that’s what we’re planning on doing with the future. Planning a lot more bonding events for the two classes to connect is going to be really important … for the year to come,” said Link Crew President and senior Maia Mejia-Young.

“So right now, MarCom [Board] is working on helping yearbook get photos of all the classes, so we can also update our website. And, we’re also prepping for upcoming InterSession and trying to get photos of as many courses as we can,” stated Marketing and Communications Internship President and senior Kylie Fernandez.

While the spring semester has just begun, it is clear that all of these boards are making efforts to contribute to the school.
