As finals wrapped up and NDB students looked forward to Christmas cheer, the 2025 year ended, and 2026 calendars appeared. With this, New Year’s resolutions and traditions, like eating 12 grapes under a table or sharing one’s New Year’s resolution with everyone, occurred.
Whether these resolutions are leaving something in 2025 or wanting to implement a certain habit for 2026, NDB teens are certainly looking forward to the new year and all the new things that will come with it.
According to one NDB student, they would like to leave behind the infamous number 6-7 in 2025, while bringing in “[Being] more organized with my belongings—school papers and supplies, sports and school uniforms, know where everything goes and put it there so I can be more efficient when I need it.”
In addition, other NDB students highlighted how their New Year’s Resolution for 2026 is to be healthier and get more exercise. One NDB student stated, “[My New Year’s Resolutions are to] get healthy, in mind and body. Also, to be more productive in my studies and passions.”
Along with these resolutions for 2026 and leaving things in 2025, one NDB student highlighted how every day is a chance to get better for yourself and achieve your goals. An NDB student said, “Even if you break your resolutions early in the year, you don’t have to wait until 2027 to attempt them again. Each day is the start of the rest of your life. What’s in for 2026 is sticking with your goals, even if you have to restart a few times.”
Tigers have certainly realized their “outs” of 2025 and are bringing in new things for 2026 in hopes of implementing new habits in their daily lives.
