After two postponed dates and hundreds wondering “what if”, the Harry Styles “Love on Tour” concert has finally taken place. The SAP Center in San Jose was packed with a large group of excited fans and two very talented performers. A full arena and two unforgettable singers led to an unforgettable night.

Before entering the concert, attendees were required to show proof of vaccination, which allowed security to monitor the health and safety of everyone. This also meant that audience members were asked to wear a mask to follow the mask mandate, which many followed.

The music at the concert was some of the best. Almost everyone in the arena was singing their lungs out along to the songs, hands in the air and phone flashlights on. Not many people were sitting and everybody was dancing, having a good time, and following the rhythm of the music. The audience was having a great time and the performers made it a great experience, interacting with the crowd and getting people on their feet. It was such an unforgettable night for the people attending.

The crowd showed support for Harry Styles through the numerous outfits that were present. Many fans dressed as Harry himself, wearing loose-fitting pants with half unbuttoned shirts and suspenders. A handful of the attendees wore feather boas and glitter to match the performer.

While waiting for Harry to appear on stage, the song “Olivia” by One Direction started to play, and everyone in the arena started to sing along. Afterwards, Harry appeared on stage, coming on from underneath it. The crowd went wild as many people had tickets dating as far back as 2019 and had been waiting for this day for a long time. Throughout the show, he interacted with the fans and took the time to talk to the crowd as a whole.

Senior Ava Lough attended the concert with a friend and enjoyed herself.

“More than anything, I was just really excited,” stated Lough. “It seems like creating a safe environment for people to be themselves and have fun is really important to Harry and it definitely shows. The concert was a great experience.”

Lough continued to explain that she was one of the many fans who had possession of these tickets since 2019.

“It was definitely worth the wait. I’ve been listening to Harry Styles and One Direction for a long time so I had really been looking forward to it,” she said. “Safe to say I was not disappointed.” Lough then goes on to say that she really enjoyed the concert and that the experience was one of the best ones she has had.

All in all, the concert was a hit and everyone had a great time. Not one person was disappointed by the venue and the number of attendants was outstanding. People were respectful and many wore their masks in accordance with the mask mandate for indoor events. This being the first indoor event since COVID-19 at the SAP Center, it was a huge hit and there really was “Love on Tour”.
