Phoebe Bridgers Concert 2021
New and upcoming music artist Phoebe Bridgers recently played at a concert in the Bay Area. She performed Saturday, October 16th at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, where many of her new fans enjoyed watching her perform live.
This concert was very special to the fans and Bridgers, reasons being that the show sold out in less than a day and was her largest venue. The show featured special guest Julien Baker, a fellow
musical artist, and one of Bridgers’ good friends.
With Bridgers’ soaring popularity, her “Punisher” album was also nominated for 4 grammys. The solo-act was part of separate projects by genius and Better Oblivion Community Club, in which she collaborated with other small indie artists to create one album each. After the success of her album, she decided to play some of her “Punisher” songs during her live performance.
There are lots of NDB students who are also fans of Phoebe Bridgers and got to see her perform live. Junior Lauren Fitzgerald was one of the NDB students who went.
“It was the most exciting thing to ever happen to me.” described Fitzgerald.
Another NDB junior, Caramia Christensen attended the concert and also enjoyed her experience with this new artist.
“[Bridgers was] connecting with the audience,” said Christensen. “by reading out posters and then answering all the questions on them and she kind of just talked to the fans for a little bit.”
Bridger’s concert was personal to the audience and kept the crowd engaged. Overall the concert was a success, the sold out show had fans obsessed with her and was a great honor for Bridgers.
