Fall is officially here! Stores across the Bay Area have aisles filled with pumpkin spice goodies and other fall-flavored treats. Some iconic stores known for their assortment are Trader Joe’s and Target. However, there are so many options that it is overwhelming and expensive for customers.

With multiple locations in the peninsula with lots of variety, Trader Joe’s and Target are great places to look for some fall snacks.

Pumpkin Spice Batons:

This popular and affordable treat is the perfect balance of sweet and crunchy. The pumpkin spice flavor is prominent but not overwhelming. These batons pair perfectly with a nice chai latte, either as a side or as part of the drink. Either by itself or with a drink, this is a must-have item in your pantry during this cozy season.

Pumpkin Spice Joe Joes:

Ratings: 8/10

This cookie lives up to its pumpkin spice name, with a strong pumpkin flavor. If you have a strong pumpkin and a sweet tooth, then this snack is for you. However, even if you do not like sweets, this may be a good option, as not only does it come with a lot of Joe Joes, it may also satisfy your fall craving.

Pumpkin Spice Cake Pops

Price: $3.59

Rating: 6/10

These cake pops are moist and soft with a mild pumpkin flavor. The spice does become more noticeable after a few bites, and while the inside does look like chocolate, it does not taste like it. Overall, this sweet treat is good, but not memorable enough to buy again unless you have a pumpkin craving. This dessert is perfect if you are not a strong pumpkin lover, but for us, this was a pass.

Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes:

Rating: 4/10

At first glance, these donut holes may seem like a delicious fall treat, but do not be fooled, because they do not live up to their name. The flavor tastes artificial, with little to no pumpkin taste, and the texture is more like a dry, sugary donut. We would not buy these again and would not recommend them to any true fall lovers.

Alani Witch’s Brew Energy Drink

Price: $2.79

Rating: 7/10

This fall energy drink tastes like a fizzy, slightly sour apple. Although the can does not list a flavor, the caramel apple image on the front led us to expect hints of caramel, which we could not taste. It is refreshing, but it does not quite match what we imagined. If you are in need of some caffeine and enjoy apple-flavored drinks, you will probably like this one.

Whether shopping at Trader Joe’s or Target, there is something for everyone. So put on your Ugg boots and fall outfits, and enjoy some fall goodies.
