Every year, seniors at NDB kick off their final year with a tradition known as the Senior Splash. On Thursday, September 4th, the soon-to-be graduating class put on their class T-shirts and jumped into the school pool together, marking the start of their last year in style.
“The senior Splash was a great way to kick off the year, and got me excited for all the fun senior things to come!” said Avery Jones, a senior in the Class of 2026.
The event was full of energy, with students cheering, laughing, and celebrating as they dove in. After the splash, seniors enjoyed music, snacks, and time with friends. This year, a shaved ice truck was a fun surprise, adding to the fun and giving the afternoon a summer party vibe.
“We got to pick between quite a few options for what fun surprise the seniors would get, and I think the shaved ice was the perfect pick,” stated senior student council member Sophia Castricone.
Senior Splash is more than just a chance to cool off; it’s a way for the class to come together and make lasting memories before the stress of senior year sets in. By the end of the day, everyone was left soaked, smiling, and ready to take on their final year together.
