Beach Volleyball:
The NDB Beach Volleyball team celebrated their senior night on the home courts against Convent HS on April 30th. The three seniors on the team, Sally Khoury, Hailey Kockos, and Ady Ventura, have all been on the team for four years, and were eager yet sad to be closing out their journey with the sport.
“It was such a special event, the whole team was so into it and what made it even more special was our old coach coming to surprise us!” stated Khoury.
For these seniors, this final match meant more than just wins and losses, it marked the end of an era that shaped them as athletes and members of the NDB community.
Lacrosse:
Senior Night for the Lacrosse team was filled with a variety of emotions, with the seven seniors, Ava Baldi, Luci Caron, Hailey Degnan, Charlotte Parks, Kayleigh O’Reilly, Katelyn Sullivan, and Nicole Tobar being celebrated. The members of the class of 2025 were honored at Crystal Springs HS on May 2nd with posters, flowers, and heartfelt messages from their coach and teammates. This final season was a culmination of years of hard work and passion, with each senior playing a major role on the field.
“Lax senior night was more than just a game; it was a celebration of everything we’ve worked for and the memories we’ll carry forever,” explained Sullivan
Swim:
For the Swim Team, Senior Night was a mix of emotion and celebration as seniors Nicole Fong and Bella Svanberg entered the pool for one last time on senior night. Surrounded by friends, teammates, and coaches, they were recognized for their unwavering commitment to the team throughout the years.
“I’m so grateful for the support from senior night and all the people who made it special for Nicole and me,” stated Svanberg when asked about what made the night special.
Track & Field:
Track and Field honored their seniors, Tila Chin, Samantha Gould, Lily Henry, Andie Wong, and Lauren Zerella, during the WBAL Prelims meet at Gunn HS on May 6th.
“Although I was not on the team all 4 years, it was a welcoming and inclusive experience that I am so glad to have been a part of. Being celebrated at my last meet was a great way to end my time with everyone!” explained Chin.
Softball:
Senior Night on the softball field was full of love and energy as the team gathered at home to celebrate the team’s one senior Allison Lui on May 12th. With the stands full of Lui’s family and friends, she was recognized for her leadership, perseverance, and positive energy that she has brought to the team for the past four years. Her final season has been one of gratitude and dedication, as she closes her high school career and moves on to play Division I softball at Georgetown University.
“It was truly such a special moment and I loved every second of it. I’m so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate,” expressed Lui.
