The months NDB students and staff have all been waiting for are almost here, and that is the season of summer. Finals will be done, and school will be off for a couple of months, allowing students to travel to many different places and have a relaxing couple of months away from the NDB campus.
From Europe, Italy, Hawaii, many students and staff are excited to venture out this summer with friends and family.
“Visit colleges, and go down south on vacation with my family,” said junior Autumn Deetz Rodriguez on what she will be doing this summer.
Senior Georgia Sewell stated, “I am going to Europe with friends for 2 weeks! We are going to Amsterdam, Greece, and Turkey.”
“I will be ice skating with my new ice skating partner in Philadelphia, where I’ll move this year to,” said junior Reece Hamilton.
Sophomore Chantal Henderson stated, “I am going to Carmel with my family, where we are hosting a civil wedding for my cousin and his fiancée. I am going to Sacramento for the STEM event, and I am going to Tahoe for a golf tournament. I am also going to Santa Cruz to attend a church camp.”
Additionally, some students are using their summer to relax and also take academic and educational opportunities!
“I’m doing a week at Georgetown’s nursing program, NYC with my friend and our moms, a concert in LA with my friend, and visiting my grandpa in Boston,” said freshman Audrey Cooper.
Many people have mentioned that they will be visiting Tahoe, partaking in leadership positions like being a camp counselor, and hanging out with their friends. While some are planning to travel, some are also excited to simply catch up on the relaxation time they so desperately need.
Students and staff will certainly have much to talk about when they come back, as countless different travels are in close reach and have been long-awaited.
