With the 2025-2026 school year just on the other side of summer, the junior class is fully preparing for their last year at NDB, including the election of a brand new set of Associate Student Body (ASB) officers.
With over 11 students running, the competition was fierce. On Tuesday, April 29, the candidates gave it their best effort with meaningful speeches and support from the crowd. Elections were conducted via Google Form, and the newly elected ASB officers were announced by the end of the day during a live broadcast of Tiger TV.
Juniors Tali Cuneo, Julianna Loar, Olivia McGlynn, Isabella Michael, Maisie Street and Finley Wilke-Hiland won the election.
“I was really excited when I heard I got elected because I am going to be working with an amazing group of girls, and it’s gonna be so much fun,” shared Cuneo.
Olivia McGlynn, shared what she hopes to contribute.
“I like to hope that I bring that energy and excitement to [ASB], and I also like to bring a different perspective,” she said.
Loar highlighted her plans to increase involvement in campus life.
“I like to plan events, and I think of myself as a very organized person … I want to bring as much spirit as possible to get attendance at rallies,” explained Loar.
Maisie Street shared the importance of being inclusive at NDB.
“I hope to give everyone a chance to use their voices and do anything they want to do at NDB because this is the school to do it,” she said.
Finley Wilke-Hiland expanded on the importance of having fun.
“I’d [like to] … work as a school and a class to lift each other up and make school very fun for everyone … just to make the most of our year,” explained Wilke-Hiland.
Finally, Isabella Michael aims to think outside of the box as she prepares for next year.
“Notre Dame is such a unique school and has a lot of unique opportunities. This is … an outlet to just be creative and create new events and opportunities,” said Michael.
ASB roles will be assigned and revealed to the community on Class Day on May 30 when the outgoing ASB announces their successors in ceremonial and sisterhood fashion.
