Toto’s Pizza, located just a few blocks away from NDB at 1250 El Camino Real in Belmont, offers a delightful Italian dining experience with a wide range of menu items to choose from. I had the opportunity to try a few of their many different dishes, and had an overall wonderful experience.
The first item I tried was the classic cheese pizza, one of the 8 neapolitan style pizzas that they offer on the menu. The well-browned crust was thick and crispy, and the sauce was fresh and tangy, giving the perfect flavor to complement the base. The hot, stringy cheese was mouthwatering, with each bite more exceptional than the last. If you want more variety, the store offers 7 other signature pizzas and a number of toppings that can be added on.
Secondly, I was able to have a taste of the New York cheese ravioli. This was an incredible dish with pasta that was tender and stuffed with a generous amount of a creamy cheese filling. The pasta was topped with a rich marinara sauce that added complementary flavors to its base. This entree is a great option for anyone looking for something beyond pizza.
The cheese ravioli came with the option to add on a sourdough bread roll at no additional cost. This bread was warm and fresh, with an indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth texture that is perfectly paired with a golden, slightly crispy exterior. The buttery flavor is both comforting and delicious, creating a delightful warmth that makes each bite irresistible. If you are looking for a wider variety of flavors, though, they also offer the option of garlic bread and garlic cheesy bread, in addition to a few soups and salads available on the side.
The cannoli was a pleasant finish to the meal, though I debated heavily between it and the chocolate chip cookie. The shell was crisp and airy, with a smooth and sweet ricotta filling on the inside. It was the ideal dessert to round off the meal, offering a light yet satisfying sweetness that left me wanting just one more bite.
The service was positive overall, with all of the employees being friendly and offering helpful recommendations. The restaurant itself has a cozy, family-friendly vibe, and the ambiance was relaxed. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was courteous throughout my entire visit.
Toto’s Pizza in Belmont offers a satisfying meal with a good variety of Italian dishes. While the pizza is definitely the star, the ravioli and cannoli are both enjoyable, with the excellent service adding to the overall amazing experience.
