SweetU Cafe & Catering is a restaurant located in Redwood Shores that specializes in authentic Asian fusion cuisine. In addition to in-house dining, SweetU Cafe also offers a catering service for cakes. Located on Radio Road in Redwood Shores, SweetU Cafe boasts a waterfront view and both indoor and outdoor seating.
We ordered the matcha latte with strawberry popping boba, a matcha latte with mango popping boba, spring rolls, sweet potato fries, and the chicken katsu sandwich. The total came to around twenty dollars.
The boba drinks were reasonably priced, costing around six dollars, including boba. Even though they ran out of honey boba, the popping boba complemented the matcha latte. The boba drinks were the highlight of the meal.
The spring rolls were presented warm and crispy, accompanied by a sweet and sour dipping sauce. I would highly recommend it.
I was not that impressed with the chicken katsu sandwich. We both felt like the sauce on the bottom of the sandwich did not pair well, and it was not needed. But the chicken and bread were very crispy.
The sweet potato fries were served in a generous portion, warm and crispy. However, it was a bit salty, as the fries were somewhat over-seasoned.
The food did not take much time to be served, and the wait was around 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was not very crowded and felt very welcoming.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I would highly recommend trying it out.
