Throughout the last semester, the Class of 2025 has been juggling schoolwork and extracurriculars with one of their most daunting tasks yet: college applications. Though they will likely be returning home for the holidays in college, many are taking this holiday season to catch up on some to-dos or try new activities they did not have time for in the last four months.
Olivia Caballero and Jennifer Elwood share their emotions during the holiday seasons as seniors

Olivia Caballero
“It feels a very bittersweet. It’s like my entire life I’ve lived in, like my house … decorating my Christmas tree, like the lights and everything. Next year, I don’t get to do that … I’m really just taking advantage of the time that I have here, spending time with friends that I haven’t seen in a long time before I go, and I’m getting into that Christmas spirit with … music. [One of my goals] is to do [a full circle around the ice skating rink without falling.

Jennifer Elwood
“This one’s special because all my [college] apps are probably going to be in by then and I’m gonna spent it to, like, make time for all my friends because I realized that this is our last, like, season together … And [I’ll] just have a lot of fun even just relaxing. I’ll feel super chill.”
Seniors are taking time to relax and enjoy time for themselves before finishing up their last semester of high school.
