Winter Spirit Week, held from Monday, Dec. 9 to Friday, Dec. 13 combines creativity, fun and holiday excitement as students come together to enjoy each day’s unique theme. With finals on the horizon, the week provides a much-needed energy boost, reminding everyone of the joy and community that make NDB special.
Monday, Dec. 9: SNOWY DAY
The week begins with a snowy white-out. Students will dress entirely in white, mimicking a winter wonderland. Adding to the fun, everyone can test their sweet tooth skills with a candy guessing game. Appropriate outfit options include white jeans and t-shirts.
Tuesday, Dec. 10: HIT THE SLOPES
Students are invited to the “slopes” as they dress in skiing or snowboarding outfits. Puffy jackets, goggles and snow pants may fill the halls, turning NDB into a cozy alpine getaway. This chilly theme brings excitement and warmth as students share their love of winter sports and fashion.
Wednesday, Dec. 11: WHAT NOT TO WEAR
Ugly sweaters take center stage with hilariously tacky patterns to over-the-top holiday designs. Students can embrace the festive mood with creative and comical knitwear, sparking a friendly competition for who can wear the “ugliest” sweater, filling the school with laughter.
Thursday, Dec. 12: SANTA AND HIS HELPERS
NDB is transformed into Santa’s workshop. Seniors dress as Santa, while juniors, sophomores, and freshmen channel their inner reindeer, elves and snowmen. This collaborative theme highlights the holiday spirit with bright colors, jingle bells and imaginative costumes.
Friday, Dec. 13: NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
The week winds down with a cozy Christmas pajama day. Students can wear their festive sleepwear, ready to comfortably tackle the day. While slippers aren’t allowed, fuzzy socks and sleep masks help keep spirits warm.
