With the holiday season just around the corner, many people love watching Christmas lights with family and friends. The Bay Area is known for its unique holiday spirit, filled with vibrant spots to experience holiday lights. Finding the best place to watch Christmas lights can make a spirited holiday outing. Many students at NDB love going out and watching Christmas lights, since there are many different places in the Bay Area to watch.
However, students can have a hard time finding a good place to visit, as there are many places. Every neighborhood is decorated differently, making it hard to find the best one. Exploring different spots can help students at NDB find unique places to watch Christmas lights, that have holiday spirit.
Sophomore Kaylee Pettis watches Christma lights in the San Carlos are and Eucalyptus.
Pettis states, “For Eucalyptus it’s more like a family tradition, and we have gone there since I was a baby, and then, like for my neighborhood, it’s more like, when I’m walking around with, like my mom and dad.”
Sophomore, Sophia Ramirez, watches Christmas lights almost every year and sees notable ones in San Mateo.
Ramirez explains, “Usually, where I live, the houses are decorated by Christmas lights. You get to feel or experience like the Christmas spirit.”
Freshman, Kiersten Tang, speaks about her favorite spot, “I usually look around Belmont or San Carlos, because they have like, really bright lights, and it’s really pretty there, and they’re all decked out.
These are all popular spots to look at Christmas lights, and the effort people make on their houses through their extensive decorations and shining lights does not go unnoticed and makes them all great places to see.
