On Friday, September 27, a Jon Pardi concert will take place at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Pardi is an American country music singer and songwriter whose current music has grabbed the attention of many NDB students.
“I bet that the majority of the teenage population is going! I am so excited!” said junior Maia Mejia-Young.
Pardi’s music has been steadily growing in popularity. He debuted in 2012 with his song “Missin’ You Crazy,” which charted within the top 30 of Billboard Hot Country Songs. In 2023, Pardi earned his sixth career number-one song with “Your Heart or Mine,” showing how much his audience enjoys his music.
While he may not be as well-known as some other country artists, Pardi is popular for his older style of music and lyrical choices. He also has collaborated with other popular artists, such as Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis.
Pardi has many other well-known songs, some of which are NDB crowd favorites.
“My favorite song is ‘Head Over Boots,’” said freshman Kate Lauritzen.
However, NDB students are not the only people on campus who are fans of Pardi. As Pardi’s songs cater to all ages, some of the NDB staffulty have grown to be fans of his music.
“I am a Jon Pardi fan, I like classic [songs] like ‘Dirt on My Boots,’” said Humanities Department Chair Sarah Boragno.
Pardi is definitely becoming a very popular country artist, and it seems as though lots of NDB students and staff enjoy his work.
