The top two music streaming devices are Spotify and Apple Music. Spotify is known as the top streaming app, but Apple Music is a very close second. Take a look at which streaming device NDB students prefer.
Apple Music: Freshman, Georgianna Drolapas says, “I prefer apple music because I have a family plan and don’t need to watch ads and also my family just uses it, so I use it.”
Ms. Tauskey states, “It’s Apple Music because I have Apple products and Apple Music matches with my Apple iPhone, iPad, and watch.”
Lastly for Apple Music, Senior, Natalia Morrow explains, “Apple Music is better than Spotify because you can view your Apple Music replay all year round and the audio quality is better.”
Moving on to Spotify users, Freshman, Cadence Goblirisch says, “Definitely Spotify. I like Spotify better because it’s smoother and what I have is a family account and I think it just has more options and functions and it’s a little easier to use.”
Next, “I prefer spotify, because Apple music costs more money to have a membership and you have to pay for individual songs even if you don’t have a membership while on Spotify, it’s free to use with ads. It’s just cheaper.” says Molly Manzi, a freshman.
“I think the Spotify raps are really fun at the end of the year and I like that it has podcasts on it as well as music.” says senior, Jena Kawar.
Sophomore, Sophia Castricone states, “Spotify is better because it’s easier to use in Wi-Fi and it’s smoother.”
Senior, Kiara Karcich explains why she prefers Spotify, “Spotify is better because it has Spotify wrapped in it and it recommends music to you.”
Junior, Adrianna Esguerra also explains, “I like Spotify because you can actually follow your friends easier and see all their albums whereas Apple music is harder to look at people’s profiles.”
“Spotify is just better because I’m on a family plan, so I have premium and no ads.” says sophomore Kylie Fernandez.
“I prefer Spotify Music because a greater amount of my friends use it in comparison to Apple Music and I enjoy how it includes podcasts as well as music.” states Annette Henderson, a senior.
Ms. Empleo wisely states, “Spotify is better, because I feel Apple has monopolized the market and doesn’t give opportunities for other small businesses to grow.”
Lastly, Ms. Brazeale says, “The reason I like Spotify is because I can easily share a playlist with my friends and family who might not necessarily have apple music.”
In general, more students and faculty based on these statements listen and prefer Spotify over Apple Music.
