As the fall season of sports comes to an end, the annual senior games begin. Each sport celebrates their graduating seniors by dedicating a match, game or tournament to them with posters and gifts. Friends and family come out to support and witness one of their last athletic performances in high school.
As the senior golfers tapped in their final putts at Baylands Golf Course, it marked the end of an era in their high school golf careers. The gallery was filled with people who had come to support the departing seniors. The scorecard may have documented the numbers, but the memories and relationships made during their time on the course will last a lifetime. This senior golf match was a beautiful tribute to these young athletes and their contributions to the sport, their school and the enduring spirit of camaraderie in the game of golf.
The volleyball senior game marked a poignant chapter in the lives of five dedicated seniors who had poured their hearts and souls into the sport throughout their high school journey. Despite their collective effort and determination, the match concluded with a loss to Mercy B. They had one more match to play in the season, giving the team one more chance to play all together again.
In a senior tennis match that unfolded on the sun-drenched courts, ten graduating seniors took center stage, facing off against Menlo HS. The outcome, while not in their favor, did little to diminish the sense of accomplish-
ment that these ten seniors had achieved throughout their tennis careers.
For the third time this year, the NDB water polo team faced Mercy B. This time, however, was for their senior game.
Even though this was the first senior game of the football program and the team had only played together for one season, they felt more connected than ever. The seniors lead the team to a win against Kings HS. They then played Menlo HS and, unfortunately lost, but that did not stop them from celebrating all together after with burgers and hot dogs at Fan Fest.
The cross country team will have their senior run on November 3 at Crystal Springs, honoring the three seniors.
