The Catalyst (TC): What is your reaction to the masking guidelines?
Lauren Zerella (LZ): I am excited not to have to wear masks anymore.
TC: Why do you choose to wear a mask or not wear a mask?
LZ: I choose not to wear a mask because I want to get back to feeling comfortable without one.
TC: What do you think of people who think differently from you: Those that are or are not wearing a mask?
LZ: I think that people who wear a mask have a right to wear a mask if they want to and I am not going to judge that since it is a personal opinion.
TC: Do you think dropping masks in school was the best decision for the state to make?
LZ: I think that it is important for schools to not require masks because although COVID is still around, I think it is something we will just have to live with.
TC: Do you think there should be an online option for community members that are not comfortable with these masking guidelines?
LZ: I think there should be an online option for people who are sick, but I do not think someone should be able to choose to go to school online if they do not want to go in person.
