The Catalyst (TC): What do you think about the announcement to continue online distance learning until December?

Helen Ciernick (HC): I think it makes sense.

TC: Do you prefer to be online or on-campus?

HC: I prefer to be on-campus starting in January.

TC: How has online distance learning changed your teaching?

HC: It has forced me to learn technology, which is beneficial.

TC: How do you feel about teaching on-campus with others who might not be that careful with hand washing, mask wearing, or social distancing?

HC: I’m pretty paranoid, but I will compensate for them. I am very cautious. I wear my mask, I wash my hands, I keep my distance from other people

TC: How has working from home affected your home/work life?

HC: I prefer not to work at home. I like to have a separation between the two, as much as possible.
