NDB community reflects on the postponement of Aquacades 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic
The Catalyst interviewed Eva Han, parent of Emma Tsui, senior, about what would have been Aquacades.
TC: Friday would have been Aquacades, but it was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. What do you have to say about that?
EH: It’s unfortunate that it was canceled because I know how much effort and preparation the NDB community puts into Aquacades. It’s a shame that all that work may go to waste. I hope that they can find a way to reschedule it.
TC: If we come back to school before the end of the year, do you think Aquacades should be rescheduled or should it be canceled?
EH: Yes, I hope that it will be rescheduled. I would be willing to come during the summer to celebrate.
TC: People usually look at pictures or videos of last year’s Aquacades to learn what it’s about. One year from now, what do you want people to know about Aquacades?
EH: I think people should know that Aquacades is an event that brings everyone together. Parents, teachers, and students all come together to celebrate it and that’s what makes it so unique and special.
