Senior Andrea Aquino wraps up her final year as team captain of the NDB varsity lacrosse team. She shares with The Catalyst about her experience for being on the lacrosse team for so long.

The Catalyst (TC): How many years have you played lacrosse for Notre Dame?
Andrea Aquino (AA): I started playing for Notre Dame, my freshman year, so I’d say about four years including this year.

TC: What was one memory throughout your four years that was a favorite?
AA: I think my most favorite memory would have to be from freshman year when we went to Monterey. We went over there to compete in a tournament and we stayed overnight, which was really fun.

TC: You’re playing for your senior year, how is senior year lacrosse going?
AA: It’s been really fun. It is a lot different than the past couple of years just because I’m the oldest on the team now, so it’s really fun to be able to lead and work with the younger players.

TC: Do you have any plans to play lacrosse in the future for college?
AA: I am not completely closed off to it, but I think it would be a fun experience, so maybe.
