Five students entered their art work into the annual pumpkin carving contest.

On Tuesday, October 25th, 2022, NDB students lined up to join the annual pumpkin-carving contest. This is just one of many contests held during the Halloween Spirit Week, joined by a costume contest, a baking contest, and a candy corn counting contest. Pumpkin designs are split into categories, including spookiest, most creative, and best overall. All winning pumpkins received ten spirit points for the artist’s class, and this year, five students participated.

“It was fun,” said junior participant Mallory Moore. “Over the weekend, I went and picked out a pumpkin and had fun carving it with a friend.”

This year, the winners of the contest were determined by the student body via a Google Form sent by ASB. The winners will be announced during next Monday’s Dingbat Rally.

Students will continue to celebrate Spirit Week through competitions and costume opportunities as the school prepares for Halloween.
